CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people to help us grow! We have an immediate need for a Design Engineer!
Min 10 years of Pro/Engineer Automotive Design Experience, plus an Associates Degree in a Design Technology or, 10 years of related automotive drive train and/or chassis design experience
Provides lead design support for an advanced product development team, with full responsibility for ensuring that components designed meet technical requirements. 1) Design and develop hardware for new projects in accordance with cost, form, fit, function and manufacturing requirements. 2) Interface with team members, vendors, customers and other departments on technical issues. 3) Design test rigs for prototype testing and validation activities. 4) Demonstrable competencies in applying and interpreting GD&T as per ASME 14.5 1994. 5) Knowledgeable of bearing design criteria for rotating groups of products such as superchargers, turbochargers and gear trains.
A min of 5 years demonstratable competency with Unigraphics CAD systems is also desired, but not a mandatory requirement.
