Desktop Support Specialist – Southfield

CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Desktop Support Specialist.

Provides Engineering desktop and telecom support at this location. This position will provide support for IT and Engineering applications and systems to ensure timely, reliable, cost effective service to employees, contractors, and customers. Assists in daily activities relating to Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) especially PCs, Servers, and related systems. Possesses a detailed technical understanding of existing systems. Performs testing and evaluation of systems as part of a team. Provide customer service to all individuals within the location. Assists with analysis of system related issues. Creates/updates system documentation and best practices in concert with other team members. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working collaboratively with Corporate Regional SIS to work on initiatives that are part of are part of Eaton Business System processes, which raise the quality of support provided across the entire organization.

Requirements:
Provides 2nd level PC support as applicable for infrastructure hardware and software in order to provide the customer with a workaround or a fix particularly with Engineering software such as ProE and AutoCad., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Operating Systems, Familiarity with manufacturing applications where applicable, networking, basic telephony.

Education:
A Bachelors degree with one to three years experience preferred or minimum of an Associates degree with one to three years experience and ITIL, MCSA, or comparable certification.
